That People Mover / Rocket Jets one really bums me out. The first time I ever visited Tomorrowland was shortly after the 1998 redesign. I never got to see either of those ride. I bet it was much more exciting to be in TL with all that movement going on above you.
yup. that last one sure is depressing. * sigh *
What can be seen in the last set of pictures? I'm guessing the left one is the model of EPCOT? But what is on the one on the right?
I agree Kurt. :(
Yeah the PeopleMover and Rocket Jets were great. The offered such wonderful views of the park and views of a fantastic Tomorrowland.
RPtje- Yes the model on the left is the model of Progress City or E.P.C.O.T. the city. It was in the upper level of Carousel of Progress and served as the 5th act of the show. Today it's Innoventions and the photo on the right is the tree in the middle of the building that extends up to the upper level.
Holy crud, is that a walkaround Dumbo? With Evil Chip and Dale?
The colors today seem more garish.....look at the Tiki Room sign. But I guess it's a more garish world now.....................sigh.............
A world without strollers - when classy adults visited the park.
fantastic series!
Is that a chicken on the left of the Dumbo picture?
The last three are all a bit depressing, as is the pair of photos showing the disappearance of the Tahitian Terrace.
LOVE this stuff! Thanks for taking the time to do the side-by-side images. Always interesting!
